Operator and application
These terms govern the use of Sonir Bench and Sonir Remote (together, “the software”), provided by nadai, an independent developer (“we”), and form an agreement between you and us. By downloading or using the software, you agree to these terms. Contact: [email protected].
Age
To use the software, you must have reached the age required in your country or region, or, if you are a minor, have the consent of a parent or guardian.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the software in accordance with these terms. Redistribution, modification and resale of the software are prohibited. Reverse engineering is not permitted except to the extent allowed by applicable law (such as for interoperability).
Pricing
The software is currently provided free of charge. If paid features are introduced, we will amend these terms and let you know in advance.
Output level and your equipment
Sonir Bench plays audio through DSP that you or an AI design, and sends it to your DAC, amplifier and speakers or headphones. Although Bench checks designs before they play and limits the final stage, you are responsible for the settings you use. Start at a low volume when trying a new design, and protect your hearing and your equipment.
Measurement results
Measurements depend on the microphone, its calibration, the phone and the room, and are not guaranteed to match professional measuring equipment. Do not use them for legal certification, decisions about safety or health, or professional certification.
Virtual audio device
Sonir Bench installs a virtual audio device into your system. Removing the app alone leaves the device in place; use the uninstaller included in the app to remove it.
Your designs
DSP designs and modules you create with the software are yours. Please do not name shared designs after other companies’ products or trademarks.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The software is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from its use. This does not apply to damages caused by our intent or gross negligence, or to rights you have as a consumer under law.
Your data
Your designs, settings and calibration files are stored on your own devices. Backing them up is your responsibility. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Intellectual property
Rights in the software, the name “Sonir”, its logo, screen designs and accompanying materials belong to us or their rightful owners. These terms do not transfer those rights to you.
Ending use
You can stop using the software at any time by uninstalling it. If you seriously breach these terms, we may restrict your use of the software.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any dispute about the software. This does not affect the protection of mandatory consumer laws that apply where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms as features or laws change. For significant changes we will update the date on this page and let you know where we reasonably can. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept it.
